We are the 2.65%: Colin Craig gets an online platform

Completely irrelevant Conservative Party leader Colin Craig was given an online platform to debate actual, real life, voted-in Member of Parliament Louisa Wall today. Here is a man struggling for relevancy after he spent screeds of his own money on an electoral campaign that garnered him just 2.65% of the vote. Being given the opportunity to speak out against marriage equality has so far proved much more fruitful than the pots of money he threw at his failed election campaign – with so many actual, real life, voted-in Members of Parliament sitting on the marriage equality fence, Colin has swooped in to provide the mainstream media with a “balanced” view of the debate.

He had many interesting things to say in his “debate” against Louisa (from where I stand, calling it a debate is like calling David Tua squashing a cockroach a boxing match). Here are some of Colin’s well thought out and beautifully articulate views. Enjoy!

1) Being GLBT is a choice:

2) Denying GLBT people the right to marry is the same as denying millionaires the right to welfare:

3) Denying children the love of more than one parent is intelligent and in the best interests of children:

4) His definition of equality is different to others’ definition of the word:

 5) But it’s very important that we retain accurate definitions of other words:

  1. Kevin Scarlett says:

What has’ Marriage’ got to do with families?… It’s a unity between two people, regardless of having kids or not. What do we call a man and a woman with children that aren’t married these days.. not a lot because it is just accepted.. Go the Bill.
