South African Police believe that the suspected serial killers targeting gay men in Johannesburg may now have moved on to Cape Town.
Eight men since April 2010 have been murdered under similar circumstances in which allegedly a gang of men earn the trust of the victim who then invites them to their home. Once inside the victims are tied up and strangled before the gang ransack the house.
Graham Collop was found at his home in Cape Town by family members who become worried when they had not heard from him. They found his body bound and strangled and his house had been turned over.
Three men were arrested in connection to the case in November, it is believed that they were part of the gang. The latest killing suggests that either there are still members of the gang at large or there is a copycat killer.
None of the victims appear to have anything in common apart from their sexuality pointing to a homophobic motive.

It’s also a culture where lesbians are regularly raped to make them “straight” in what is said to be “corrective rape therapy”.
