US born singing sensation Ariana Grande speaks about her admiration for gay half brother Frankie Grande, and why she moved from Catholicism to Kabbalah.

In a recent interview 21yo Grande gushes about how she looked up to her gay older brother Frankie Grande a seasoned broadway actor and recent evictee from US reality TV Show Big Brother, Frankie made it to the final five and was in an affectionate ‘bromance’ with straight contestant Cody Calafiore.

During her adolescence the ‘Problem’ singer and brother Frankie stepped away from the Catholic church after he was rejected for being openly gay. ‘When my brother was told that God didn’t love him I was like, “OK, that’s not cool.” They were building a Kabbalah centre in Florida so we both checked it out and really had a connection with it.’

Abandoning her Catholic belief in search of another faith Grande found solace in Kabbalah a faith that has high profile followers such as Ashton Kutcher and Madonna.

“My life has unfolded in a really beautiful way, and I think that it has a lot to do with the tools I’ve learned through Kabbalah. I really do.” says Grande. “You have to watch your intentions, make sure you’re not giving in to your ego. You have to numb your reactive state. You have the power to change your reality.”
