Q. Our office party is coming up, and the invitation includes partners. I don’t have a boyfriend, but there’s a guy I’ve met recently who I like. Should I ask him?
A. Why not? Life is short. Just be aware you don’t know him that well, so anything could happen. He doesn’t know you well either, so keep in mind he might learn a whole lot about you from your work colleagues. If neither of those things causes you to reconsider, then have a lovely time.
