Peasant is a welcome replacement for the very average Two Monkeys on Dominion Road and like our absolute favourite Indochinese haunt, Parkside, provides Vietnamese food with a decent flavour hit.
It has become a firm favourite for many food writers despite only opening so recently and we can see the interest isn’t going to lessen any time soon. You’ll find twists on the classics like house-smoked tea salmon in the summer rolls and tamarind pork belly served with granny smith. Get there soon.
