Auckland Pride Community Hui dates have been selected with two seperate gatherings planned. The first hui will take places on Saturday 28 May at Studio One Toi Tū Ponsonby from 2 to 4pm.
The second hui will take place at the same venue on Wednesday 6 June at 6pm.
These community forums will allow members of the GLBT community to voice their opinions, concerns, and praises to the Auckland Pride board. This encouragement of dialogue between the board and the community means that upcoming Pride events will be more inclusive and apply to all aspects of the queer world.
The 2016 Pride board were criticised for lack of communication with the community and it is clear that Kirsten Sibbit and the board are actively trying to remedy the previous year’s shortcoming.
